Tired but can't sleep
Posted on 13-5-2011 at 02:07 AM

I am so tired but can't sleep at all. Every time i close my eyes i starts to figet or just open them again. Don't know why but this has been happening for about a week. I most likely have only had an half hour to an hour of sleep a night. Anyone have any ideas about how i can sleep more before i go insane.

Mood: Really tired

Try Melatonin. It's a natural chemical in your body that helps you sleep. You can pick it up at any local supplement store or pharmacy.

good ideas from catt :P I always found intentional deep breathing would help me relax before zzz's... also if it's been going on for a week then it might be good to check out some insomnia meds... meds aren't always bad and part of the sleeping problem will be caused by the sleeping problems on previous days.. so throwing a spanner in the works (sleeping pills etc..) can sometimes throw you back on track.

If you got a quiet enough spot, do some jumping jacks. It'll wake you up initially, yeah, but if you can pull off enough to make you sweat, then that's good. Anyway, after that, settle down to a good movie. If you're not sick or anything like that, about 45 minutes into the film, you should be out cold.
